Danes are shopping ultra-cheap products from Chinese online shops like Temu, Shein, and AliExpress like there is no tomorrow. There’s no limit to what you can buy. But there’s also no limit to what harmful chemicals might come along with your purchase. Nasty chemicals is found in everything from clothes and shoes to makeup and toys. We brought this message to life in a quirky ad campaign.
The soundtrack features the classic Danish children’s song “Fire strømper uden fod” (Four Socks Without Feet), which lists all kinds of things you can buy for just 1 Danish krone. On screen, we show people shopping for exactly those items — directly from Chinese online shops. But when the products arrive and they start using them, the shoppers begin to itch and break out in rashes — because the goods are filled with toxic chemicals.
